CLASSES & PROGRAMS

Pilates
Pilates is a series of exercises that concentrate on the fundamentals of breathing, spinal mobility, pelvic & shoulder stability and upper & deep abdominal strength. Pilates principles include control of isolated muscles, concentration, flowing movements & precision. The more a person becomes aware of and applies these “tools” the more they are able to change their imbalances or “crooked” posture. The results are confidence, poise and elegance in movement.

Active Isolated Stretching
Active Isolated Stretching is an incredible flexibility program that improves preparation for athletic activity and maximizes potential of athletic performance. It optimizes range of motion and elasticity of tissues, facilitates removal of waste products, releases deep and superficial muscle/fascial restrictions and reduces risk of injury. It is equally very gentle and yet individually challenging.

AIS & Pilates Combination
The “Ideal” way to precisely evaluate, stretch then strengthen the individual muscles needed for the specific activity. Exploring ways to use home activities to lengthen and strengthen to prevent postural distortions that occur with “normal” aging. Fighting gravity effectively!

Aqua Aerobics
The Aerobics program offers a fun & challenging atmosphere for all levels and ages. Each class includes warm-up, stretching and cool-down. Power Yoga Power Yoga has its roots in traditional Ashtanga Yoga which was designed to strengthen and teach discipline to the youth of India. Power Yoga is a western adaptation of the same. Coming to Power Yoga class you can expect a challenging workout that increases flexibility and builds strength in ways traditional western workouts do not. You can also expect to leave feeling renewed, energized and euphoric. Please bring a towel, sweat happens!

Masters Swim Program
Get in shape with a fun and challenging swimming interval workout. All abilities welcome. Workout includes drills to improve swimming skills and interval workout targeted to ability level. Great for anyone who wants a low impact but high energy workout. Also benefits swimmers and tri-athletes who want to improve their performance and great cross training for other endurance sports.

Personal Training
This program will help you learn to evaluate fitness information so you can make educated choices regarding diet and exercise. You will learn which basic principles of fitness will work for your body type. After just one session you will know about exercise tolerance, your personal tolerance levels for each major muscle group and the best combination of repetitions & sets for your muscle types.
