The 5th Annual Vermont Antique Ski Race
March 8-9, 2008
Scheduled Events
Saturday, March 8th
11 – 1 pm Registration 2nd Floor Base Lodge
2pm - 2.5k Vintage Cross country ski race followed by Sugar on Snow party
In keeping with the vintage theme, special prizes go to those racers who wear vintage equipment.

5:30 pm Cocktail Hour
6pm - Dinner with the Olympians
Please join all of the Olympians, families, and friends for an evening of fun and reminiscing. Everyone is welcome. $35 buffet (includes tax and tip), cash bar.
Sunday, March 9th
7-9am - Breakfast
8:30- 10 am – Registration and bib pick up
Register early for the race! Race can only accommodate 120 racers. Racers will run by category – starting with Strictly Vintage, then Woodie, ending Metal/Fiberglass. Register your team at this time. The registration form is on the back.
9:30 - 10 am Course Inspection
10:30 am – Vermont Antique Ski Race
Two runs on Screaming Eagle. Racers must register in one of three categories: Wood, Metal/Fiberglass, or Strictly Vintage (boots, bindings, poles and skis all vintage). Skiers must compete with skis from 1975 or before to be considered for medals. Skiers are encouraged to bring their own gear, but there will be vintage equipment mounted with demo bindings and a technician on hand to fit anyone interested in racing.
Peter Graves, Olympic commentator, will be announcing the races.
10:30 am - Lollipop Race on Screaming Eagle
1 pm - Post-race Awards Ceremony & Lunch
Medals and museum memberships for top three men and women finishers in the following categories*: Nordic race; Alpine Antique race – top three in each category Wood, Metal/Fiberglass and Strictly Vintage; and Skimeister. Plus Team prizes – get together a group of 4 to compete for team award. The team award goes to the fastest pre-registered team.
*To win a medal, racers must compete in one of the three Antique ski categories. Antique portion of the race and comply with definition of “Antique” skis.
Plus a raffle, food, and prizes!
